The one clown

So lately I've been noticing how the ignorance of one or people can really affect so lot of other people. This is most evident in the morning run on the freeway.

Anyone going to the city this morning on the tulla freeway would of taken twice as long due to traffic congestion. Why was it so congested? Some retard broke down in the middle of two lanes.
Now no doubt the 1845 hyundai may of been in fine running order, but the rust and panel damage would suggest otherwise.
So what did this clown do when they noticed their 'car' was playing up?
Park it in the middle of the freeway.
Now I may be tough on this person who made me and possibly alot of people late, but come on, this could if been avoided.  Maybe don't take your rust bucket on the freeway, maybe get it serviced once since it was new, and if it is playing up, get it out of the way of the thousands who want to get past you.
End rant -
Lets think of our fellow man, and make this city a better place for every one. :)

The first day of spring

image

Oh what a delightful day, the sun is out and the birds are chirping.

Well not exactly.
The clouds are overhead, the rain is falling and if course , the trains are late. I'm willing to make a substantial bet that the operators of metro trains wake up in the morning, see some rain, and proceed to hit the snooze button a few times.
Hell I do it, but thousands of Melbourne's travellers don't depend on me. (lucky for them)

So back to the first day of spring, I feel a little ripped off. I was looking for a nice start to the season, lets hope that today isn't an indication of weather to come. I want the sun to come out and fill this town full of beautiful vitamin D.
I guess old mother nature hasnt got her hand's on a calendar, and is unaware of the new season starting.
My mum of course does. Hi mum!

Ah we'll the week goes on, have a good one melbourne, and keep dry. (and stop hitting that snooze button - you know who you are)

Myki problems

So so so,
This "smart" ticketing system has been rolled out for a little while now.
I personally have not had any experience with it, apart from addressing some of its issues on this blog.
As a Melbournian I use public transport a lot, but I have not felt the need to adopt it yet.
I thought I would put the question out there to anyone reading to comment on their experience with Myki, and let us know how the experience is/was.
Feedback would be much appreciated and you can help out your fellow Melbournian.

The city circle tram.

One thing that makes melbourne a cool place, is the awesome tram network we have.
Not a lot of cities can boast such a public transport system.

And to throw in a free service that shows tourists around and gets locals around with out the hassle of getting myki.

I love the city circle tram. Keep chugging away old fella!

Ben Cousins – Such is life

Wow, Ben Cousins.

I was not expecting this show to be much. I honestly did not like this foot ball player at all. But since getting to know this bloke from listening to him on Nova 100, I've begin to like his character.

Yes, he has done some stupid things. Yes he was a drug addict. Yes he is possibly not the best role model this country has had.

But lets be honest. The guy has got courage.

To put it all out in the open, and tell the whole world his problems with drugs and how he over came it all , is very courageous.

Ben Cousins, you played one hell of a game of football, you entertained us with your antics, and you inspired us with your fortitude. Lets hope your story reminds us how bad drugs are, and how much better life is without.

Ben Cousins, Good luck mate. - Such is life , right?

Trains trains trains

image

Ah yes! Another day, another late or canceled train. Today this passenger has the joy of being jammed into a later train due to the earlier one being canceled.

Not just running late, which is the norm, but canceled all together.

Which ever political party promised to fix this disgrace of a public transport system would of had my vote on the weekend.

Come on boys and pull your finger out

Update: the train has stopped in between platforms somewhere, and at the last few stops the train has been so full no one could get on. I find it so funny that all the scum bags can get a seat due to getting on the train at the earlier stops, and all the suit's that live in their expensive homes near the city either can't get on the train, or have to stand there and watch the junkies wake from their dug induced sleeps.
Its a class war on the train, and the outer suburb folk always win!

Mondays I hate you.

God I hate mondays. I feel pain when my alarm goes off.
Another week in the life of the rat race.
Each post I like to write something positive to end the post on high note do here it is.
Its almost 11, which means it's almost lunch time, which means, most if the day is kind of done. I may be reaching but keeping positive will get me through the day.
Oh and spring its here soon, and spring in melbourne is the best.

The lol's at the comedy club don't stop. Get down to the comedy club in collins st, its a where I go to when I've had st tough week and need to laugh the stress away.

If I had some international or interstate guests, id start my night here in melbourne every time. The quality of acts on stage never seem to keep me quiet.
